I'm in post beach depression...the sky seems so cloudy and while it could be worse here in Texas, I am not very excited about having to wear jackets all the time. So naturally, I thought it would be nice to reminisce about warmer times, three years ago when my mom, brother and I went to Vero Beach for a few days.
Happy Valentines Day everyone! We are actually not the biggest fans of Valentines Day. But we thought, where did it actually come from???
Our last day in port was at Cozumel! Although, we spent only a few minutes on the island. Instead, we made our way over to mainland Mexico to explore the cenotes!
This day of our cruise in Belize was our best, but craziest. From delays on the surface to the sharks at the bottom of the sea, we had a big adventure!
Our first port of call on our cruise was Rotan, Honduras! We were so excited to get off the ship and get some quality beach time. We geocached for about an hour before our tour left, then took a van to a private beach. It was beautiful! We relaxed in the hammock and snorkeled on the incredible reef!
Today's we are checking out all the action on the ship during the two days we were at sea aboard the Liberty of the Seas! It involved sun, lots of naps and mini golf. So it has to be awesome, right?
Come along with us on the video today!
Welcome to a new week of the blog! This week, we are recapping all the wonderful things we saw while celebrating our 5th anniversary aboard Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas! Today is all about getting on board and exploring the ship. Come along with us!
It's no secret that we love geocaching. And it's a wish of all geocachers to get as many countries under their belt as possible. So when we were cruising to three different countries this last week, it was a no brainer to us to try to find at least one in each port. And it was a success!
All good things must come to an end...but at least we had so much fun!
Day 5 was our final day before departing the resort. But we loved getting to hang out with Goofy and his friends over breakfast!
Welcome to day 4 of our Disneyland week!
Today was all about the parks! We got up early and took advantage of the entrance our hotel had directly to California Adventure and we rode Soarin' and Radiator Springs Racers before breakfast with Ariel and the other princesses! We followed it up with a day super packed with magic!Link to blog is in the bio!
Welcome to Day 3 of our Disneyland week!
Today was epic. We started the morning out with our Star Wars: Light Side race! While this was personally, a worst race time wise (feet were killing me!) Mom and Dad got personal bests! The course was pretty awesome with some fantastic cosplay cheerers along the route.
Welcome to Day 2 of another Disney week!
Day two of our trip consisted of us eating, going to the RunDisney Expo and shopping. We may have met a few characters as well! *hint hint*
Welcome to another week of Disney here at Around our World in 80!
Friday was spent getting to Disney. Maddie made it early after successfully non-raving to Anaheim. Here's what she did that day while waiting for everyone else to arrive that night!
We've made it five years!
I love you.
Fear can be a positive motivator instead of a debilitating emotion.
I absolutely love decorating our mantle each season and this month I decided to display things from our wedding. Our wedding invitation. Our menu. Our program. One of the napkins we had printed. Paper airplanes that sent us out on our honeymoon. We still look back on this day and the emotions are unexplainable.
Thank you to everyone who made our wedding day so memorable and full of joy.
Oh, and Mac and Cheese bar.
So we are diving into some different DIY areas. We like to constantly keep learning things. We made our own soy candles for Christmas and decided to try our hand at a beeswax pillar candle. Here's how things went...
Warning, might contain blowtorch action and lots of sarcasm.
As with most people on the internet, we are taking the time to talk about our hopes and dreams for 2017.
Most of it seems to include laughter. Usually with Jared making side comments. If this is the case, I am totally happy with 2017!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
From Maddie and Jared
Sunday we ate at the historical Gunther House. It was the first flour mill in the area and a the catalyst for the city growing. The original house is now a restaurant and serves DELICIOUS food!
