Tuesday was our last day in Disney World but we ended on a high note as we ate breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. I was so excited to finally get a photo with Stitch!
Monday was all about Magic Kingdom. We hit the highlights and ate some great food. We even managed to get a few cute pictures while we were at it!
Sunday was Half Marathon day! We woke up bright and early but thankful for the approved walk path to the start line from the Polynesian. Instead of having to wake up at 3:00 AM, we got to "sleep in" until 4:15 and we were on our way by 4:45. Felt like a Disneyland race...
Saturday we chose not to go into the park and instead, hit the golf course! While no one would be in the runnings for the Masters, we had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful weather and the fantastic company.
It's a great Disney Week this week! This trip we headed to the East Coast and checked in at the Polynesian for a great weekend with family while running the Star Wars: Dark Side race!
It's going to be a long time in the making, but we are finally redoing our front room. It's now going to become our office and our music room! Check out the video below to see all the work we put into the first phase of the project!
We are in the final countdown for our trip to run the Star Wars: Dark Side race at Walt Disney World! There's a lot to think about when packing for a destination race and I thought I would share and all inclusive list of what I bring to a RunDisney race!
Last time we talked about our garden it was just putting the seeds into the soil to germinate. Now, we are actually putting in the infrastructure of our new gutter garden and transplanting those seeds to our backyard!
This last weekend we got away to hike out at Caprock Canyon State Park. A few hours away, it was a part of Texas I hadn't seen before and it did not disappoint.
Today we are talking about my favorite gear for camping, The Nube by Sierra Madre Research!
This is basically a suspended tent for your hammocks. Jared and I love our tent, but never slept very well on our camping trips due to sleeping on the ground. Plus, our tent would flood during those lovely Texas spring rainstorms.
Enter the Christmas I bought Jared a hammock. He is so excited about it, he tells me about this fantastic company called Sierra Madre Research. And, they have an ingenious system that allows us to sleep well and stay dry.
March means it's camping season! We are going to be sharing reviews of the two shelters we use the most. This week, it's our MSR Hubba Hubba Tent!
Our garden has been a love/hate relationship for us...
We really just need to work on our timing.
Which is why we are making sure we start our seeds now.
See the plans we have for our garden in this update!
This week on March 2nd, Texas will be celebrating it's Independence Day from Mexico. March 2nd is the day we drafted our Declaration of Independence from Mexico in the little shack in Washington-on-the-Brazos. Soon after, the Alamo would fall and soon after that, Texas would defeat Mexico.
The title might be puzzling, but surely, you can deduce like Sherlock to figure it out. No? Well then you are in luck. Just keep reading and you will find out
I'm in post beach depression...the sky seems so cloudy and while it could be worse here in Texas, I am not very excited about having to wear jackets all the time. So naturally, I thought it would be nice to reminisce about warmer times, three years ago when my mom, brother and I went to Vero Beach for a few days.
Happy Valentines Day everyone! We are actually not the biggest fans of Valentines Day. But we thought, where did it actually come from???
Our last day in port was at Cozumel! Although, we spent only a few minutes on the island. Instead, we made our way over to mainland Mexico to explore the cenotes!
This day of our cruise in Belize was our best, but craziest. From delays on the surface to the sharks at the bottom of the sea, we had a big adventure!
Our first port of call on our cruise was Rotan, Honduras! We were so excited to get off the ship and get some quality beach time. We geocached for about an hour before our tour left, then took a van to a private beach. It was beautiful! We relaxed in the hammock and snorkeled on the incredible reef!
Today's we are checking out all the action on the ship during the two days we were at sea aboard the Liberty of the Seas! It involved sun, lots of naps and mini golf. So it has to be awesome, right?
Come along with us on the video today!
