Disney Dark Side: Day 3

Sunday was Half Marathon day! We woke up bright and early but thankful for the approved walk path to the start line from the Polynesian. Instead of having to wake up at 3:00 AM, we got to "sleep in" until 4:15 and we were on our way by 4:45. Felt like a Disneyland race...

The race itself was pretty epic. We maintained 1 min run/1 min walk ratios the whole way up until mile 11 when I started getting overheated (thanks humid Florida) and I had to grab ice at a med tent. But after a few ice chips and a walk along the boardwalk, we finished strong! Definitely not my best race ever, but it was definitely a fun one. And look at that Millennium Falcon medal!

After showering we headed back to EPCOT for lunch in the Land Pavilion at the Garden Grill. They serve food right from the greenhouses on property! And seeing the characters wasn't bad either...

Then we hit up the hotel for a well deserved nap before coming back to EPCOT (praise the monorail!) and using our Fastpass for Frozen. After Test Track was Spaceship Earth (one of my favorites!). Then we ate our way around the world for the Flower and Garden festival! It was a blast!

We finished out the night with Sourin' and a trip to Trader Sam's. After comparing and contrasting the two different coasts, Disneyland definitely reigns supreme. Yes, you have to elbow your way to a seat. But the crowdedness of the place actually plays to your favor as the guests are ALL about the show and participate in every special thing they do for the drinks. Guests at Disneyworld don't get into the spirit as much. Cast members and guest participation definitely make or break this experience!
