Sunday we ate at the historical Gunther House. It was the first flour mill in the area and a the catalyst for the city growing. The original house is now a restaurant and serves DELICIOUS food!
Read MoreSaturday we started off visiting the Alamo. It's one of my favorite places and this trip seemed a little extra special. Jared and I got to visit the small building at Washington one the Brazos where they declared Texas independence from Mexico last March. It's a small, nondescript building but it's what was happening while the men in the Alamo fought to the death. I got a little emotional knowing this and saw the Alamo in a slightly different light. It's a little piece of home that I will always treasure.
