Workout Wednesday 3.7.18

So if you didn’t know, I’m obsessed with Disney.

Now that we got the obvious out of the way, I thought I would talk about something that has helped fuel my workouts.

I’m proud to say that I am on track with my new diet and I have worked out five times a week for the last two weeks (one more week and it’s a habit right?). My trainer keeps ramping it up and encouraging us and I am starting to see the work pay off. Slowly but surely.

However, something that has also helped fuel the pursuit of my goals has been something called the March Disneybound Challenge.

If you don’t know what Disneybounding is, I did a whole video explaining it (with examples) over here. But in a nutshell, it’s putting together outfits inspired by Disney characters. It was started by a blogger named Leslie Kay who runs a blog over on Tumblr. But she also hosts a challenge in March to put together an outfit a day based on different prompts.

I’ve definitely felt the effects of pregnancy when it comes to fitting back in my clothes. Some still fit. Some definitely don’t. So I feel in limbo and I’d rather just stay in my PJs all day than come to realize another one of my favorite pieces doesn’t fit.

But an unintentional byproduct of this challenge is that I have gotten up and put on nice clothes every single day so far. I’ve done my makeup and sometimes, my hair! But it’s made me feel better and helped me be more productive and positive through the day. Adding in the fact that it’s Disney related makes me happy!

I’m happy with the clothes that I fit in so far. But I am finding that when my trainer tells me we’re doing a third set I’m motivated by the outfits I want to wear, but don’t fit into yet. It’s a delicate balance to be content with where you are while still being motivated to move forward. But I have found that this challenge has provided it and I am so thankful!

Here are some of the outfits I have put together so far!

New things I’m going to try this week is to swap which days I do bike and swim. With the small group I attend on Wednesdays, it makes it difficult to make it to the gym when they have childcare! I think it takes tweaks like this all the time to help dial things in and see results!

Here’s the workouts this week:

  • Monday - We did a LONG 5 mile walk!
  • Tuesday - Strength with Dustin
  • Wednesday - Bike 30 minutes
  • Thursday - Strength with Dustin
  • Friday - Swim 500m
  • Saturday - Yoga
  • Sunday - Off
