I'm in post beach depression...the sky seems so cloudy and while it could be worse here in Texas, I am not very excited about having to wear jackets all the time. So naturally, I thought it would be nice to reminisce about warmer times, three years ago when my mom, brother and I went to Vero Beach for a few days.

Read MoreOur first port of call on our cruise was Rotan, Honduras! We were so excited to get off the ship and get some quality beach time. We geocached for about an hour before our tour left, then took a van to a private beach. It was beautiful! We relaxed in the hammock and snorkeled on the incredible reef!
Read MoreToday's we are checking out all the action on the ship during the two days we were at sea aboard the Liberty of the Seas! It involved sun, lots of naps and mini golf. So it has to be awesome, right?

Today was all about the parks! We got up early and took advantage of the entrance our hotel had directly to California Adventure and we rode Soarin' and Radiator Springs Racers before breakfast with Ariel and the other princesses! Today was epic. We started the morning out with our Star Wars: Light Side race! While this was personally, a worst race time wise (feet were killing me!) Mom and Dad got personal bests! The course was pretty awesome with some fantastic cosplay cheerers along the route.

Read MoreSunday we ate at the historical Gunther House. It was the first flour mill in the area and a the catalyst for the city growing. The original house is now a restaurant and serves DELICIOUS food!
Read MoreSaturday we started off visiting the Alamo. It's one of my favorite places and this trip seemed a little extra special. Jared and I got to visit the small building at Washington one the Brazos where they declared Texas independence from Mexico last March. It's a small, nondescript building but it's what was happening while the men in the Alamo fought to the death. I got a little emotional knowing this and saw the Alamo in a slightly different light. It's a little piece of home that I will always treasure.
Read MoreThis last weekend we had an amazing and wonderful weekend with my family, including my Aunt and Uncle! It's their first Christmas back in the States for a while since they have been missionaries overseas for several years now!
Read MoreThanks to our wonderful cousins, we were blessed with the opportunity to attend a Texas A&M football game! We had not been back to Kyle Field since the renovation and BOY was it crazy! A low turnout attendance was higher then the most crowded game Jared and I attended while at school by a healthy 10,000 people margin.
Read MoreEvery year, since Jared was 13, he would travel up to Indiana with his grandfather and dad to go hunting. It's been a family tradition every since.
Jared's grandfather died in 2007, but it hasn't stopped them from going up and continuing to hunt on the land. Maddie finally got to make it up there for the first time and got to see first hand where this special place was.
