Disneybound Our Life
We Believe in bringing the family together
Sometimes trying to figure out how to spend time as a married couple or as a family is really difficult. What should we do? What is something everyone would love? Can we afford it? We stumbled on something we called Disneybounding our Life. This is where we choose a Disney movie each week to watch. Then, we come up with an activity to go along with that movie.
Some weeks we go big. Other weeks we keep it chill. But we always make sure we are having fun and connecting as a family.
Here's a list of all the movies we have watched and the activities we did with each. Each links to the blog post for more reference!
This week we went WAY back in time to learn an ancient board game to go along with watching Brave!
Quack, quack, quack, QUACK! We were cheering for our local hockey squad this week! But they were not the ducks like in this week’s movie…
Up, down, travel around! We watched Christopher Robin this week while traveling!
This week we had a unique adventure…one that you may be able to join us on as we go forward!
If you don’t know, we are huge Aggie fans! And so we decided this week’s activity was going to be something we do, quite often! Sit down with a family meal of chili, a good dessert and watch the Aggies play!
This week, we oooohed and aaaaahhhed at some amazing gems and minerals at the Perot Museum! And, of course, had fun seeing the rest of this really interactive museum too!
Surprise! Our internet decided to cooperate with us! This week we had a really fun and different challenge that had us giggling like little kids!
This week we went to the library…with books! Any guesses on the movie that went along with this one?
As they say…anyone can cook! So we put our skills to the test!
Small airports have a very special place in our heart. So for National Aviation Day, we headed out to our small airport and ate at one of our favorite places, The Beacon Cafe!
This week was really special for our family as we headed up to Maine and got to see Maddie’s Uncle’s vintage car restoration shop!
This week we watched one of our favorites, Lilo and Stitch! And we decided to catch a Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride as our family activity!
We went down to Houston this week to visit with family and while we were at it, we all drove to the NASA Johnson Space Center! Being the nerdy kid who wanted to be an astronaut, Maddie was so excited to go back and tour this facility!
Hullabaloo...Caneck, Caneck! This week we watched Monster's University! Which naturally, made us nostalgic for our own alma mater, Texas A&M University!
For our Disney Countdown this week, we went under the sea and explored the amazing Dallas World Aquarium!
This week's activity proved ridiculousness is our middle name!
This week, to celebrate the Fourth of July, we watched Captain America!
We’re back! And we had an incredible week watching the new Incredibles 2 movie! Also, our baby may have developed super powers…
For our family outing, we went to the Fort Worth Zoo! They have opened a new African Savanna part of the zoo that was not there last time we visited and it was stupendous!
This week we actually went on a date night! Since Tarzan is always climbing things and swinging on vines, we thought we would practice our climbing skills and go rock climbing!
While we didn't get to do an activity this week (more on why in the blog), we thought we would share our experiences and some pictures of our 2010 trip to Beijing this week!
We had a pretty amazing family trip this last weekend to Zion National Park. The views, the company and the food were all pretty much what anyone could ask for in a vacation!
This week, we watched Hercules as well as attended the local festivities for the Kentucky Derby! How did we combine the two? You will just have to watch to find out!
This week, we were super excited to go to the movies and watch the next installment of the Avengers - Infinity War!
This last week, we celebrated Earth Day and watched one of our favorite movies, Walle!
Ah, Salaam and good evening to you worthy friend! Please, please, come closer…Too close, a little too close…
This week we watched Aladdin and tried our hand at some Middle Eastern food. Plus, five year old Maddie *might* make an appearance on this episode!
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! This week for Disneybounding Our Life, we watched the Sword in the Stone. Then, we visited a Renaissance Fair! We had a BLAST and can’t wait to share our adventure with you!
This week we channeled our inner Robin Hood and tried to become the best archer in the land! Or, at least, in the family. We headed out to Cinnamon Creek Ranch and practiced our skills with a bow and arrow!
It was off to the galaxies this week! Since the Starlord has an epic Mix Tape, we thought we would come up with our own “Mix Tape” and share with our our Top 10 songs on our iTunes!
While we didn’t build a permanent tree house like they did on Swiss Family Robinson, we did create our treehouse while hammock camping!
